It's A Girl

Amaya Marie arrived on February 3 weighing 8lb3 and she is absolutely gorgeous. We are all completely in love with the new addition to our family and are enjoying every minute with her. I will be taking a short little break while we all settle in, but will be back in a couple of weeks.

Nursery Love

How gorgeous is this nursery from the talented girls at Elizabeth Kimberly! The colours are so fresh and those curtains are magic.

With my due date fast approaching I have finally decided on a colour theme for the nursery. If we have a little boy it will be lime and chocolate and if we have a girl it will be pink & lemon. I can't wait to meet our little one and of course start decorating so come on baby!

Happy Tuesday

Habitat Baby has hatched at Little Maison

I am so excited to announce that the gorgeous new Habitat Baby range is available at our online store. I was privileged enough to watch Carla design and develop this range and I have to say the final product is even more stylish than I ever imagined. Pop on over to our online store and start "Feathering your nest with style”.

Beautiful Brisbane

This past week has been heartbreaking here in Brisbane. I am thankful my friends and family have escaped the fury but my heart breaks for those less fortunate. Homes and lives have been lost and our beautiful city is unrecognisable. My thoughts are with those who have lost loved ones, I can't even begin to imagine the pain they are feeling. Now the mammoth clean up begins and I know my fellow Brisbane bloggers will be helping where they can.

Hello 2011

Happy New Year! I hope yours is off to a fantastic start. Sadly we had to say goodbye to our fluffy little family member Oscar on New Years eve. I am so pleased we have him captured in our Isla & Oski prints so I still get to look at his happy little face every day when I am packing orders.

My head is exploding with excitement about 2011 and what is ahead for me both professionally and personally. I look forward to sharing the changes ahead with you all and following your journey. I currently have a to do list as long as my arm, I need to get things in order for the arrival of our little bundle so I am off to tackle the nursery.

Have a great day

Wishing you a fabulous Christmas and a Happy New Year! I will be taking a little break now to put my feet up for a while before our second baby arrives. Thank you all for your lovely comments and I look forward to blogging more in 2011 and sharing some exciting changes for Little Maison. So until next year, take care and enjoy the break with your loved ones.

The Designer Modern Girl

Decorating a nursery should be an exciting time but for many the process is quite daunting. Strolling the aisles of your local baby shop faced with linen and accessories plastered in beige bunnies, pink teddy bears & red trucks can be quite an overwhelming experience for any expectant parent.

Let’s face it you are going to be spending many of your waking moments in child's nursery so why not make it a place you will want to inhabit and true to your sense of style. It's easy to create a unique and stylish space on any budget, think outside the box and base your design on the things you love and the style of your home. Below are some ideas for a modern nursery, the bright splashes of colour used in the cushions and the chic modern furniture are perfectly suited to any stylish home. I adore the Ubabub cot and the Made By Girl print. What style would you decorate your nursery in?
